If, like me, you’re a sucker for jazz-age dandy romanticism, don’t miss the brand-new show at Moderna with Nils Dardel. A Swedish painter from the aristrocratic von Dardel family, Nils was part of the cosmopolitan avant-garde in Paris. He used art to convey the early 20th century jazz era and its modern attitude to relationships with all kinds of people. The exhibition explores him as an eccentric dandy in the otherwise polite salons of Paris and Stockholm. Check it out until September 14th.
Nils Dardel and the Modern Age, curated by John Peter Nilsson opens at Moderna Museet on May 29.
