The election is coming up, but what do the parties really want to do with the cultural life? Swedish radio will be unearthing the visions and utopias in the new show Kulturvalet, beginning August 18th. Hosted by Amie Bramme Sey and Jenny Aschenbrenner , the show features four live debates, all in front an audience, at Turteatern in Kärrtorp, Tensta Konsthall, Subtopia in Alby and Kulturhuset Stadsteatern i Stockholm.

The goal, according to producer Lisa Bergström, is to make culture politics one of the most important questions in the upcoming election. Besides the debates, there will be additional shows delving deeper into the issues each day from August 19 to August 23. Listen to find out more about how society shapes culture, and how culture shapes society.
