For the first time, pop art and design are shown together in a large exhibition at Moderna, with pieces by artists and designers such as Warhol, Rauschenberg, Haworth, Lichtenstein, Eames, Panton, Castiglioni, Nelson and Sottsass. The show examines how the pop art artists and designers during post-World War Two period tried to understand the new commercial landscape, with its new aestethics of mass media, advertising, comics and packaging. When the show closes in September it will move on to other destinations in Europe, so if you’re interested in (mostly American) pop art, this is a great opportunity to see it outside the US.
On display until September 22
