There You Are
Most famous for her work on large format analogue cameras Stina Brockman is now exploring the possibilities and, in her own words, the “technical limitations of” digital photography.
Since the 1970s, Brockman’s work has been characterised by her use of shadow and reflection. In There You Are she uses these techniques to “dissolve the difference between outer and inner reality.” Brockman says she is fascinated by the facets of human behaviour that are hidden behind “norms and conventions.” This exhibition will investigate those aspects of masculinity, vulnerability, aggression and sensuality that she regards as being generally unseen.
This exhibition is on display from February 7th to 27th.
