The Spring Salon has been a proud tradition at Liljevalchs since 1921. The exhibitions at Djurgårdsvägen 60, offers art lovers an opportunity to discover and buy works from both established artists and exciting newcomers.

Participants are selected every year by a jury consisting of the country’s leading gallery owners. Take the chance to see some of Stockholm’s brightest artists, filmmakers, craftspeople and designers before they become household names. You might even pick up a bargain! The gallery is open Fri-Sun 11-17.

Saturday

Promoting their 2012 release I bet on Sky American alternative rock trio Dinosaur Junior play Debaser Slussen on Saturday. The bands distinct sound – characterized by high gain and droning vocals hearkens back to 60’s and ’70’s classic rock. Thankfully, I bet on Sky is more of the same. Ticket info here.

Sunday

Style: "vvv"

David LaChapelle’s brilliant and comprehensive exhibition – Burning Beauty – at Fotografiska finishes up in a few weeks. This collection features images and installations from throughout his long and storied career.

Its not for the faint of heart or youngsters among you as there are many graphic nude shots. However, it is strongly recommended. Check it out while you still can.

Open 9am – 9pm. More info here.
