The weekend has finally arrived. Here’s a list of activities we recommend you check out over the coming few days.

Thursday

The Dubliner, Stockholm’s only Irish owned bar and restaurant is celebrating 20 years in the business with a three day party. The prices have been reduced to what they were in 1992 – the year the Dubliner first opened. It kicks-off on Thursday at 1700 with live bands, music and plenty of craic. Get there early for an obligatory Guinness or two.  It will be packed.

Friday

Can you spin a yarn? The Fabula storytelling festival takes place at Hornstull’s library from 10am on Friday. Over three days, storytellers from India, South Africa, England, Norway and Sweden will narrate, give workshops and host seminars.

During rush-hour, (17:15 to be exact) a renegade group of yoga practitioners will perform a flash mob in the middle of Stockholm’s Central Station. Weird reactions by the day-in day-outers guaranteed. Get there early to enjoy the spectacle.

Saturday

Throughout the weekend an event organized entirely by women for women will take place. Their mission?  To encourage, educate and inspire women to become strong leaders in business and society. A host of international speakers including Alexandra Charles, Lena Adelsohn-Liljeroth and Jeanette Ljungars will host mentoring seminars and discussion groups.

The Blackbird Burlesque Cabaret will take place at Hamburger Börs at 21:30 on Saturday. A range of local Swedish dancers will be wooing the guests a la Moulin Rouge. Ladies, dont forget your feather boa.

Price: 180sek, more info here.
