 Sónar

For years the Sonar festival in Barcelona has been profiling the current state of the electronic music landscape, acting as a link between creativity and technology. They have showcased innovation through the works of anyone and everyone who has made, or is just about to make, a name for themselves within the ever-evolving world of electronic music.

Having previously branched out to several other cities, last year the festival reached Stockholm, to explore how Barcelona’s renowned event could redefine itself in smaller locations and venues. Since last year’s instalment was a resounding success, Sónar returns with the aim of making this a permanent fixture in the Stockholm music and clubbing calendar.

Among the acts on show at the festival’s three stages this year you’ll find SBTRKT, Paul Kalkbrenner, Kindness, Nina Kraviz, Tokimonsta and Zhala plus Swedish names like Elliphant and Lorentz. A lot more artists are yet to be announced so keep an eye out at their website.

Sónar Stockholm takes place in The Stockholm Waterfront on 13-14 February.
