Described as a ”bombastic roadtrip about one of Sweden’s most mythical monarchs” and an ”epic historical-biographical fantasy with elements such as action, opera rock, costume drama and warmongering,” the play Carolus Rex  promises to be one of the things to see during the traditional off-season for theatre. It portrays the legendary Karl XII who tells us his whole story from his own perspective. What makes it even more interesting is that it’s performed at Riddarholmskyrkan, traditionally the burial place of Swedish monarchs.

See Carolus Rex from June 26 and all through the summer at Riddarholmskyrkan
