On your marks! Get set! Jet-set and Go! Fashion Week in Stockholm has popped it’s metaphoric and physical champagne corks today and the sleekest and most chic of the international fashion world are in town to celebrate the renowned Stockholm fashion scene. Here are our top pick for one to watch!

Mayla

Former model Marlene Abraham started Mayla as a nod to her years spend in Paris surrounded by relaxed and chic wears; combined with her Scandinavian roots a classic line was born  with a modern twist. Mayla offers a playful take on sophisticated looks, well-made blouses, playsuits and  timeless pieces that you will be excited to wear. It’s definitely a must have line for all of the muses out there.

Dagmar

Started by  three fashionable sisters Karin Söderlind, Kristina Tjäder and Sofia Wallenstam, Dagmar has been a favorite of the fashion world since it’s launch in 2005. The line is know for unconventional yet sophisticated aesthetic. With supreme attention to detail, expert tailoring and the most luxurious materials, we have a feeling it will be a favorite for a while.. Inspired by the Art Deco period of the 20’s and 30’s, motion pictures, architecture, art, music, dance and decadence touch the line always has a steady stream of excited  fashionistas drooling with each new collection.

Ann-Sophie Back

If you know anything about fashion in Stockholm, you know that Ann-Sophie Back is the IT designer right now. You can’t go anywhere in this city without one of her designs almost screaming at you from bags, shows, shirts and dresses, and that is a good thing. The innovative designer who has been a darling of the fashion world since her days of Cheap Monday has now ventured off into the wild and became the queen of the jungle. It’s a crazy world our there but Ann-Sophie has your BACK!

Minna Palmqvist

Another fashion world darling, Minna Palmqvist has quickly captured the interest of some of the world’s most conceptual artist with her innovative designs. Robyn is a huge fan and can often be seen sporting her designs.

Minna Palmqvist launched her eponymous fashion label in 2009 as an extended version of her Intimately Social  thesis from the prestigious Konstfack College of Arts in Stockholm. Her line is an exciting and challenging story to the traditional fashion world while exploring dissection of  female body and empowering the dialogue with fashion and art.

 Per Götesson 

 Per Gotesson graduated from the prestigious Beckmans College Of Design in June 2013. His graduate collection Poor Unfortunate Souls soon gave him a reputation of being the modern version of John Galliano  both from swedish magazines such as Bon and Stockholm fashion week magazine and international blogs such as A shaded View Of Fashion and The Blogazine.com. His menswear designs speak to the modern pirate in all of us. His use of deconstruction in garments and materials like fishnet and neoprene are setting him at the forefront of avant-fashion.
