Just in time for the tail end of summer, another roof bar has just landed on the Stockholm scene. The Urban Escape area at Brunkebergstorg, which includes the hotels At Six and Hobo as well as the restaurant Tak, is expanding to add a double roof-bar. Well actually, the roof bar is coming next spring, but Stockholmers can get a taste of what’s to come, as they’ve opened up for a preview this August and September. The terrace bar, which will eventually include a fitness centre and an outdoor cinema, stretches across two roofs connected by bridge. Run by the team behind At Six and Hobo, the bar will have 360-degree views of the north east of the city, and will be open for 20 days this summer for a pop-up they’re calling Tjugodagar, before returning for real in 2018.
Henrik Jacobsen of Tjugodagar says “The hotels’ different but complementary concepts are built around social and stimulating exchanges. It is a unique opportunity to get to open this new roof terrace, a pop-up amongst the city’s rooftops. We’re are going to collect as much feedback as possible over the coming seven weekends, and with unexpected combinations and events raise the pulse of Stockholm”
Tjuogodagar is open Thursday-Saturday until September 30.
