Food And Fun At Tolv

TOLV AIR HOCKEY

There’s something a little different about Tolv Stockholm. Bars, restaurants and activities like pool and adventure golf aren’t exactly uncommon in Stockholm, but finding them all under one roof is a little exceptional. But that’s exactly what’s on offer at Tolv, located at the Tele2 Arena, right in the shadow of Ericsson Globe. On the food side of things, Tolv has a wide range of restaurants and diners, including an enormous branch of O’Learys, Boston Grill, Bambinos Italian Eatery and Holy Monkey, an authentic Asian street food outlet that even comes with a karaoke bar. So whichever corner of the world you fancy your meal coming from, you can find it at Tolv, along with a large selection of spots to grab a drink after your meal. And to have a little fun afterwards, you can move to the Activity Zone, which features nearly every sport and game you can think of, from bowling to digital kart racing, via shuffleboard. And the dancers can choose to move to Colosseum, Stockholm’s largest nightclub, open until 03 on Fridays and Saturdays with over 2000 square metres and three dancefloors of music to party in. It’s difficult to think of Tolv as anything other than an adult playground, with something for everyone, regardless of age, gender or taste.

 TOLV FOOD

When our party arrives at Tolv we opt to begin the evening by dropping by the Boston Grill for a meal. The Boston Grill is, essentially, as close as you can get to the city without buying a plane ticket. There’s a subtle, East Coast USA elegance to the décor and plenty of images of the city’s most famous son, John F. Kennedy. We’re pretty hungry by the time we get to Boston Grill, and we choose the day’s vegetarian special, mushroom stuffed with peppers, onion and cheese, served on top of a light salad.  The food is excellently prepared and presented, and it certainly does the trick.

 TOLV GOLF

After this we head out to the activities, and we pick the Adventure Golf. If you’ve ever fancied seeing the various landmarks of Stockholm condensed down to miniature size and watching people play golf around them, then your (very specific) dreams have been fulfilled. The course is a nice way to relax after a meal, and it really makes you appreciate that the designers of Ericsson Globe made a real architectural blunder in not making it easier to put a golf ball around (or perhaps I’m just not very good). The course is frustratingly difficult, but very fun way to spend an evening.

TOLV STOCKHOLM BOLWING BALLS

And with the European Championships coming up this summer, there are few better places to watch the action unfold and cheer Sweden (or whatever team you’re rooting for) on than on the big screens at O’Leary’s sportsbar. And hey, you can even relax with a round of golf after the game. It’s what the footballers do.
