The North meets the continent At Kagges

After the two-star restaurant Frantzén decided to bow out in July of last year (it has since reopened in a new location on Klara Norra Kyrkogata 26), old pals Kalle Lindborg and Douglas Tjärnhammar-Alm decided to take over the Gamla Stan space. In May the duo opened Kagges after completing an extensive revamp – it has become a bit more colourful and whimsical, to wash away the previous fine dining style.

Kagges serves a la carte grub from a menu consisting of a range of mid-sized mains and a few desserts, all inspired by Nordic cuisine without losing touch with the rest of the world. They have also managed to squeeze in seating for a little more than 30 in the tiny dining room.
