Finnish Design Comes To Kungsträdgården

Did you know that Finland celebrates the 100th anniversary of its independence this year? As part of the celebrations, STHLM/SUOMI festival is coming this August, and it’s the biggest event happening outside Finland in commemoration of the anniversary. There’ll be music and other events in Kungsträdgården from August 24 to 26, as well as something a little different: PUF Design Market is coming to Stockholm. Normally based in Åbo, PUF DM is a design boutique that presents a rotating range of products and brands in Finnish design, and it won the country’s Fennia Prize this year. Co-founder Hanna Pennanen says: “The idea with PUF is to create a platform for design and fashion where both large and small actors can be displayed. We want to show off the best of Finnish design, whether it’s produced by large or small brands. That after only two years we’ve gotten the chance to display new Finnish design in Stockholm feels really exciting!”. They’re planning to launch a webshop for Sweden later this year, but in the meantime you can check them out at STHLM/ SUOMI where they’ll be open on each of the festival’s three days.
