 Stockholm Loves Beer

Portratt

To a certain extent, Södermalm and beer have always been intertwined, even long before the current surge in popularity of the suds. The newish Katarina Ölkafé at Katarina Bangata could be seen as a natural progression of that relationship.

Part hipster hangout, part café nurturing old traditions, they are looking to become the natural watering hole for anyone wishing to delve into the increasing supply of local beers.

For more insight to micro-brewed beers, both local and from further afield, the publication Nöjesguiden in collaboration with Bakåt Framåt are staging Stockholm’s first beer fair, with a focus on microbreweries. During the last weekend of January you find names such as Södermalm breweries Sthlm Brewing Co and Modernist Brewery as well as other Stockholm beers such as Pang Pang at this very welcome fair up at the top of Drottninggatan.

Nöjesguidens Ölmässa takes place Jan 29-31 at Drottninggatan 81
