The pub quiz is a fairly recent phenomenon stemming from common trivia games such as Trivial Pursuit. In the UK, quiz nights are reinventing the traditional pub culture, and in Stockholm new quizzes are popping up on regular basis in the town’s various taprooms. The pop culture quiz, with main focus on music and movie trivia, seems to be in high demand, so we’ve gone and done a round of the lot in order to pick our five best. All you’ve got to do is gather your mates, brainstorm the best team name ever, and keep those pints coming! Over the coming few days we’ll be compiling a list of some of Stockholm’s best spots.

Wirströms Film & Music Quiz

This is the veteran of Stockholm pub quizzes; in fact, the Wirströms quiz is the longest running music and film quiz in Scandinavia! Quiz masters Scot and Julian are in their 10th season of the ever-popular quiz night, which begins with DJ Scot throwing down tracks while teams nosh some bar grub and get pepped for the main event: a mellow and pleasant mix of fun questions, lots of breaks for great tunes and refilling of beers, and a steady stream of jesting from the hosts. I recommend showing up early as this one fills up fast!
