Krister Henriksson is one of Swedish acting’s big guns, so to see him live on stage should always be regarded as a special occasion. To see him return to the role of Hjalmar Söderberg’s Doktor Glas should be regarded as an extremely special one. Henriksson’s interpretation of the role first hit stages at Vasateatern in 2006, before embarking on a tour that took in Sweden, Finland, Dramaten in 2011 and even eventually London’s West End. Now Henriksson returns as the novel’s title character in a reworked and updated performance. Doktor Glas returns to Dramaten in August.
