The Finnish-Swedish singer-songwriter Frida Andersson was born and raised in Ekenäs, Finland, but has lived most of her adult life in Stockholm. Having success in Finland with songs written in English, Frida Andersson is now releasing her first album written in Finn (Swedish as spoken in Finland).

Last christmas she toured with Bo Kaspers Orkester, which seemed to have given birth to the collaboration between Frida and frontman Bo Sundström. Their single is called Drömlänges and is being released in late April.

Her sound is quite unique, seeing how her Finnish influenced Swedish is spoken by few known artists. It’s like if Melissa Horn had lived in Vasa (Finn speaking part of Finland) her entire life, or if Lisa Ekdahl had been born in Helsinki. Soft, delightful acoustic pop that cradles you into a very pleasant groove – very suitable for live performances. And you’ll get a chance to experience the Finnish-Swedish singer-songwriter in her own neighborhood Vasastan, at Musslan. Free entry.

Frida Andersson is at Musslan on April 8.
