METRONOMY (21:30)

Metronomy is an electronic group that was formed in Devon, England back in 1999. The band has four members  – Joseph Mount, Oscar Cash, Anna Prior and Gbenga Adelekan.

They have released four albums and just released their new album Love Letters in March. Now a month later they come to the cool Debaser club for an awesome gig in Stockholm!

The new album was recorded in the analog London studio Toe Rag (The Kills, Supergrass, The White Stripes and others) and singer Joe Mount has said that this time the album’s influences come from classic bands like The Zombies, Love and Sly & The Family Stone, but also from his newfound role as a father.

The first sample from Metronomys upcoming fifth full-length album is the wonderfully catchy single I’m Aquarius.

WOMAN’S HOUR (20:00)

Womans-Hour

Woman’s Hour is a four man band from London who started playing together in 2011. It was not long before they were mentioned as “the perfect 2011 indie guitar group.” With a blend of Afropop, dub, krautrock and shoegaze, Woman’s hour has grabbed the attention of both Pitchfork and the BBC.

The single Her Ghost was released earlier this year and was the quartet’s first release on Secretly Canadian. After that in 2013, among other things, they opened for Volcano Choir and also attracted the attention of several blogs. Now the band has come out with details on their full-length debut  Conversations scheduled for release in July.

Metronomy & Woman’s Hour are at Debaser Strand on April 10.
