THE RANGE (00:00)

debaser_The Range

The Range is James Hinton, 25, of Providence. He has been making music since he was 13.

At Brown University, where he studied physics, he began to make electronic music full-time under the pseudonym Stegosaurus, and produced two albums quite soon, Quill and Cower. In mid-2010, he began making music as The Range. First came the album The Big Dip, which was followed by the album Nonfiction in 2013.

The Range plays almost constantly around the U.S. and has done remixes for artists such as Howse (Tri Angle), Kuhn (Civil Music) and Alphabets Heaven (King Deluxe). In August of 2013 he played at The Boiler Room U.S., followed by a series of UK and European dates. We’re excited to see what he can do and so should you!

FRANSKILD

franskild
Together, Love Ojensa and Tim Soderstrom – a chef and an architect living in Copenhagen – formed Franskild in order to live out his love for house music as they combine with the pop and spherical elements.

With its large, open rooms, typical house – piano – plink , soaring synths and danceable beats, the music is made for daydreaming of palm trees, cocktails and baby-blue waves. Ibiza possibly?

Once you’ve got the feel of the tender warm currents of the weightless universe where Franskild floats, you will never want anything to take you from there.

The Range & Franskild are at Debaser Medis on May 30.
Free entry before 22:00. For more information visit Debaser.
