There’s something brewing for fans of classical music as Trädgården and Förstaparkett collaborate for a new one-day festival at the club this weekend. As part of Växthusfesten, Förstaparkett will be visiting the Skanstull venue. Förstaparkett is a concert series that aims to make classical music attractive for a younger audience.
David Huang, concert pianist and one of the driving forces behind Förstaparkett, says “Everyone can love classical music, when it’s presented in the right way, by the right person, in the right atmosphere. When we at Förstaparkett do our shows, we try to make them something suitable for young adults, regardless of whether they have a little or a lot of experience of classical music. To collaborate with Trädgården is therefore extra fun, because it’s a environment which suits the music very well, while at the same time being a place where people feel at home and are comfortable”. On Saturday Förstaparkett’s own orchestra will be performing Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.
In addition to the music, Trädgården are changing up their food and drink game for the one-day festival. Copenhagen bar BRUS is running a takeover of Trädgårdens Burgerian, while Restaurang Växthuset is arranging a special menu for the day. A number of outside breweries and wine producers are also participating on the day, including Vin och natur, Pompette and Nya Carnegiebryggeriet along with their food truck.
Trädgården opens at 11:00 on Saturday, and Förstaparkett perform at 14:00.
