It’s like a deep, pulsating fusion of techno and rock music. With influences from acts such as Dutch L’Equipe du Son and French Justice, with a Mexican soul, Zombies In Miami presents a sound image blending together different styles, techniques and genres with the result being an intense, but still laid back, experience. Their name is prone to lead to some confusion when googled, since the cannibal attack that went down in Florida two years ago, after a homeless man’s face was chewed off by a junkie completely lost on the insane drug called bath salt. But that’s neither here nor there.

Zombies in Miami are a really interesting duo, consisting of musicians Jenice & Canibal who are collaborating sporadically with producers like Rebolledo and Daniel Maloso. Their live act has been shown in cities in Europe, USA and Mexico, and has gained the reputation of being pumped with energy, with drum pads, synthesizers with vocals splashed with all kind of effects.

The duo just recently released their EP Cowboys & Indians, and this is what they’re touring with at the moment it seems. For Friday, Södra Teatern is the perfect spot to land after the Daytime Sessions with Nina Kraviz has ended around nine at Trädgården. Zombies In Miami will help you through the hopefully hot summer night.

Zombies In Miami are at Södra Teatern on May 30.
