MARLENE (00:00)

If the sun were to have a soundtrack it would be extensively sampled in Marlene’s songs, mixed with raw r’n’b beats, melody-based keys and daydreams about skyscrapers, beach parties and a touch of homesickness. In August Marlene released her debut single Bon Voyage, which was recognized by many blogs internationally and in Sweden, including the week’s best of P3. The single was followed by remixes amongst others: 1987, Niklas Bergenwall and Saturday/Sunday.

Since then, Marlene continued her journey both geographically and musically. In autumn she spent her time in New York and L.A. in studio sessions, gigs and other adventures in quick succession. Stay Awake is the first taste from her trip and is written by Marlene and Ji Nilsson and produced by Jake Oh and Mike Heron. Marlene ended in 2013 with a guest appearance at Musikhjälpen in P3, a tour with Kim Cesarion and the release of singles Cecilia and Stay Awake.

LITTLE JINDER (23:00)

In 2013 Josefine decided to “move home,” submit Trouble & Bass and team up with Golden Best Records in Stockholm to release her debut album. The first album single Whatever 4ever is a glittery electro pop song, as Jan Gradvall called “a doorway to something big.” The single remix by Mats Norman (Little Society, machine, Mash Up International) turns it into a real smoking dance floor.

Little Jinder stood as the only live act at underground king Boiler Room’s first visit to Sweden and released shortly after the first single, Shh, in Swedish. A single that was directly picked up by P3 and ended up at Music Wizard’s list of the year’s best songs.

She was nominated in the category “Pop” at P3 Guld and is now releasing her second single, Ugly and the Boring Girl, in Swedish.
