Debaser, Blod och Svärd, and Fritz’s Corner presents: Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats.
UNCLE ACID & THE DEADBEATS
The British hard rockers Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats have spent the fall opening for Black Sabbath on their European tour and recently played an epic gig at Friends Arena. On Thursday March 20, they return to Stockholm and to play Debaser Strand!
Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats were formed in 2009 in Cambridge, England, and released their debut album Volume 1 the following year. Their first real break came with the follow-up, 2011’s Bloodlust on Rise Above Records. Their sound has drawn comparisons with Black Sabbath, The Stooges, and the original Alice Cooper band but it’s probably simpler to just describe them as ‘psychedelic doom.’
In April 2013 the band released their third album, Mind Control, which was hailed by music journalists worldwide and since then the band has toured the world playing to full houses, both by themselves and with Black Sabbath.
DEAN ALLEN FOYD
First up tonight are local boys, Dean Allen Foyd. This psychedelic Stockholm band is influenced by the likes of Syd Barrett’s Pink Floyd, Arthur Lee’s Love and Captain Beefheart. Their debut album was released in 2012.
The concert is bookended by the our own Fritz’s Corner and Blod och Svärd so expect a night to remember!
