The Weekender Jul 28, 29, 30 : Your Guide To Stockholm’s Weekend

Hybris are running multi-band summer parties in Vintervikens Trädgård throughout this summer, and this weekend marks round 2. Two of Malmö’s best bands are on the line-up, misery-pop duo Wy and shoegazers Echo Ladies, and indie-pop band Melby (who we spoke to a while back) and the dreamy Many Voices Speak complete the set. The day-fest opens at 16:00 on Saturday.

PNKSLM and Lazy Octopus are two of the best labels in Stockholm (you should know by now, we write about them enough), and they’ve teamed up to create the Lazy Slime Fest, an ‘all day happening’ with bands, DJs, food and drinks onsite and more. Our former cover star Shitkid heads up the line-up, and she’s joined by Dead Vibrations, Eterkropp, Thee MVPs and Runtom Knuten. If rock’n’roll is your thing, this is your party on Saturday.

It’s seems like half the city is on vacation at the moment, but if you’re among those who haven’t been able to get away then Semesterklubben might be the next best thing. The club aims to turn Södra Teatern’s Södra Bar into a little slice of Las Palmas with balloons, piña coladas and beach vibes. Makya Edd of Death Team is behind the club, and she’ll be playing everything from 90s hits to indie bangers.
