The Weekender Aug 11, 12, 13 : Your Guide To Stockholm’s Weekend

CONCERT: DN KONSERTEN 2017

Every year Dagens Nyheter arranges a concert with the Kungliga Filharmonikerna, and this year is no exception. It takes place outside the Sjöhistoriska museum and will be one of the biggest outdoor concerts this summer. Kungliga Filharmonikerna will be bringing a range of the best classical music outdoors, and will be guested by singer Lisa Ekdahl.

Aug 13 @ 1400, Sjöhistoriska

FESTIVAL: KOREAN CULTURE FESTIVAL

If you have a fascination for Korean culture, then this will be the ideal thing for you. Run by the Korean Embassy In Sweden, the Korean Culture Festival is a one-day celebration of all things Korean, from food to history to K-Pop. Visitors can try their hand at traditional cooking, handcrafts and folk games, or just buy them at the markets if they don’t have time to make their own. There’s even a K-Pop dance workshop for anyone that’s feeling exuberant. It takes over Kungsträdgården on Saturday.

Aug 12 @ 1200, Kungsträdgården

CLUB: DIRTY HANDS LABEL NIGHT

Dirty Hands is a Malmö house label, but they’re making the trip up to Stockholm this weekend to take over at F12 Terrassen. Label boss Per Hammar and Mirja, who released a tape on the label last year, play on the terrace.
