CLUBBING: CORE BY STAYCORE

STAYCORE are still one of the best labels around if you like dance music that’ll rip a hole in your skull, and they’re taking over Morfar Ginko on Friday. SHYGIRL and Sega Bodega perform live, and Kablam and label founder Dinamarca DJ.

Jun 30 @ 2100, Morfar Ginko & Pappa Ray Ray

GIG: HYLLA MANCHESTER

Indie club Klubb Common People are focusing all their love on one city this Saturday. Four local bands will be taking on the roles of Manchester’s best and brightest, and give their interpretations of some classic Manchester hits. Ellen Sundberg does Joy Division, Bedroom Eyes is James, Brödet take on New Order and Ryde do The Verve. So dress up as Morrissey (this is probably optional) and head on down if you’re in the mood to pay tribute to England’s most important music city (yeah I said it, take that London). Klubb Common People and Vero, one of the best new bands around, DJ.

Jul 1 @ 2200, Debaser Strand

FESTIVAL: TIRGAN

With a new festival occurring what seems like every month, it’s important to remember what we are celebrating. In what is described as the Persian equivalent of Midsommar, we are introduced to the Tirgan Festival. It’s the world’s largest celebration of Persian art and culture and at the festival, you can expect to see a variety of music performances from both Iranian and Swedish artists, traditional food, dancing, and a market. Marking the festival’s fifth year in Sweden, this year is expected to be bigger than ever with an estimation of over 25,000 attendees. The festival will have free admission and everyone is welcome to attend.

Tirgan Festival, Huvudsta, Solna, 1 July
