Irina My Lindqvist is exhibiting a collection of colorful glass-blown and pattern-cut sculptures at Blås & Knåda on Hornsgatan 26A from August 31 until September 18.
The exhibition is called Through My Soul and Hands – Traces of Dreams. It is based on the idea that everything we experience and think about is filters through our bodies and minds leaving an impression. Images of nature dominate Irina’s imagination and so, depictions of birds and flowers are depicted in the artwork. The exhibition title also describes the craftsmanship required to create these types of artwork.
Born in 1981, Irina works and lives in Stockholm. She is trained in glass craft, design and public art in Sweden, Denmark and the USA. She has created much of her artistic creations in public spaces. Irina is a guest member of Blås & Knåda and this is her first solo exhibition at the gallery.
The exhibition will open on Saturday August 31, 11-1600. Much of these beautiful and unique pieces of artwork are for sale. For more information, contact Boel Widell Henrikson in-store.
