Norman Food

NormannFood

Building on the success of their recipe blog, Danish design brand Normann Copenhagen is launching a recipe concept entitled Normann Food a new and fun recipe every month. Going from the virtual world to the real one, they are transforming the entrance of the Copenhagen flagship store into an exhibition cookbook, where twelve summer recipes are aesthetically unfolded in beautifully styled, large-scale food pictures that adorn the walls.

Christian Lacroix/Vista Alegre

AlegreVistaLaCroix

Designer brand Christian Lacroix is set to enter the porcelain market by introducing its own series of beautiful services. Finding inspiration and design cues in 1880s Portuguese patterns, the “Butterfly Parade” and “Sol Y Sombra” series were conceived and the perfect partner for the project was found in Ílhavo, Portugal. Modern Art Desserts

free_modern_art_desserts

Fake art through cake art. The traditional coffee cake has been brought to the next level by Blue Bottle Coffee’s own Catlin Freeman, a self-taught baker who is passionate about the aesthetics of her delicious goods.

Her cakes take their cues from painters such as Andy Warhol, Henri Matisse, and other modern artists, and she has created a collection of uniquely delicious dessert recipes. Her new book Modern Art Desserts gives you detailed instructions on how to perfectly layer your very own Mondrian cake and leave that boastful self-proclaimed master of bakery friend of yours in the dust.
