The Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival is coming to Stockholm just in time for the fall season. With brands from all over Sweden and the world the two weekend event is sure to be an interesting experience to learn and sample some of the best beer and whisky that can be found world-wide.

Although the festival does focus mainly on Beer and whisky, that’s not all the event will cover – other alcohol will also be apart of the events such as Champagne, rum, tequila and more. With a list of exhibitors that is more than ever before, anyone in attendance will be sure to find out the intricacies and actual art of handcrafted alcohol, learning how it’s much more than “drinking.”

One of the unique parts of the event will be the master-classes in which different distilleries and breweries will be giving you a look into the way they create some of the most tasteful and distinctive drinks.

What’s our recommendation for a master-class not to miss? The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. The Society was started in Scotland and is now celebrating their 30th year since they started their club in Edinburgh. The Society hand picks single casks from over 129 malt distilleries, 10 grain distilleries, and many Rum and Armagnac distilleries. They are represented in over 18 countries and have recently expanded to Sweden through Ostra Matsal, part of Hotel Stureplan.

Be sure not to miss their masterclass on September 27 with Georgie Bell and October 3rd & 4th with Euan Campbell and many others such as Brooklyn Brewery, Stockholm’s own St. Erik’s Brewery, and Tullamore Dew.
