The 42-year-old comedian Fritte Fredrik Fritzon didn’t always use to make people laugh hard; he actually started off studying Architecture in Lund. During his studies he worked with student television and theatre where he started with sketch comedy, but once he realized that standing on a podium was what his heart desired he dropped out of his architectural studies to pursue his dream.

Fritte Fritzon understood that he had a knack for comedy, and started Oslipat, Sweden’s number one alternative standup club. Currently besides doing standups, he is doing a daily radio sketch show called Carpe Fucking Diem, as well as participating in a comedy podcast called Alla Mina Kamrater (All My Comrades).

But already as soon as November 27 and 29, he will take the stage on Raw Comedy Club at the Hilton Hotel in Stockholm.

– I have always liked to talk in front of people. Already in third grade I was MCing the school graduation show. People say I’m likable on stage. I try to be interactive and talk to people and I want my material to be well written, both in terms of dramaturgy and how it is formulated. And yes, I like act-outs.

Fritzon has been doing sketch comedy for a quite some while now, but standup for about seven years. He’s traveled extensively around the world, such as Finland, Denmark, Norway, Great Britain and USA.

– My main goal is to develop in Sweden – in Swedish.

Although his goal is to perform in Swedish, his international influence sometimes take over on stage, such as a hilarious puppet routine he occasionally does, whereas Fritzon’s multilingual skills are up for show.

– I’ve lived in Denmark and Spain so sometimes I mix up my set with a little foreign tongue. But the French is more made up, I’m afraid.

Since we’re already on the subject of mixing it up, Routines that he currently does include one on why bartenders call themselves Mixologists, and one where he can tell a person by knowing what cheese he or she likes.

– I like to mix the observational with the absurd. I might be from another dimension.

So save the dates in your calendar, because you won’t want to miss Fritte Fritzon’s Christmas comedy standups this November!
