Miguel Pizarro Diaz is a father of two, and he’s been with the love of his life for almost 20 years. Besides being a family man, he’s been involved in the Stockholm urban scene since the early 90s. He grew up with the hip-hop culture in Stockholm and has watched the scene develop over the intervening decades. Since last summer he’s been responsible for the bookings at Lydmar Hotel, with its live shows and DJs for their Summer Sessions.

But back in the day he used to play records under the name DJ Flaite until he started Klubb YES (for the love of music) together with Petter, Robban and Ricardo at Mosebacke in 2003. They started just for fun, to share good music with the people, and featured live music once a month.

He left YES in 2009 as he felt that he was no longer needed and shortly afterwards he started Classiks, together with Petter, P.O and DJ Sleepy. It was a short-lived project where they focused on more classic moments in hip-hop, with Pete Rock & C.L Smooth, Lords Of The Underground and a DJ night at Berns. They created sold-out shows and good vibes.

The same year he started to focus more on bookings with his own company Flaco Productions, which he now works with full-time. His ambition is a simple one – to bring great acts to Stockholm.

What is the idea behind the Summer Session live shows at Lydmar Hotel?

Lydmar Hotel has always had music and art as a platform, ever since the old Lydmar. And two years ago they built a stage outside the hotel to share great music for free to everyone. We wanted to continue the project.

And since last fall I am also doing bookings for Strandvägen 1.

What’s your own personal favourite summer spots?

Well, kids’ parks around the city, Vinterviken, where you are close to nature and the like.

Where do you like to eat?

I like to go to Rolf’s Kök with my wife.

Favourite drink?

Rum.

If you had a friend visiting Stockholm for the first time this summer, what would you recommend not to miss?

Skansen on a good sunny day, the Solberga forest, the archipelago, Vasamuseet, the sunset and to visit Soundhabits Studios at Mariatorget. And just generally, a walk through the city!

What are you mostly looking forward to this summer?

Spending time with the family, and hoping to have a sunny summer so we all can enjoy the live acts and DJs!

What’s your dream for the future?

I’m living my dream!
