Tomorrow is Saint Lucia’s Day, and Saint Lucia is famous for her multi-candle wreath (used in legend to light her way and keep her hands free to carry food to Christians hiding from the Romans in the catacombs). Also, Sonic Youth’s 1988 album Daydream Nation has a candle on the cover. So why not unite the two concepts? That’s definitely the idea at Laika tonight, as they transform their usual Indie Tuesdays into Lucia-Indie night. Nikki Nyberg and Marcus Admund from Honeymilk, Ellinor Svensson aka de Montevert and David Larsson are booked in to DJ, and they’ll be playing music from all over the indie world. And there’ll probably be candles, and even maybe a lussebulle or two about. It is (almost) Saint Lucia’s Day after all.
