Stureplansgruppen’s seemingly endless supply of new restaurants shows no sign of slowing down. The group have just announced that they’re opening L’Avventura, a new Italian restaurant on Sveavägen. L’Avventura is based on the idea of an classic Italian local restaurant: two bars and a dining hall, with open spacious interior, high ceilings and a red and white colour theme, housed in the venue’s former cinema room. In charge of the kitchen at L’Avventura are Karl Ljung, Laura Marino and Jens Bergstrand. Ljung says “Our ambition is to take the ‘Italian Restaurant’ to a new level. The idea is to capture the essence of that which is Italian. I myself married into an Italian family, and have gotten a lot of inspiration, both when it comes to food and atmosphere, from our journeys through that country. We have a unique opportunity to create a fantastic atmosphere in this locale”.

On the subject of the restaurant’s menu, Marino and Bergstrand say “Good, really good Italian food can crown an evening, a date, a Wednesday or a big celebration. We make food with heart and soul: big portions to share, homemade mozzarella and grilled sea bass with lemon are some examples. Food to enjoy with a lot of company, people come to us for the combination of food and atmosphere”.  L’Avventura’s restaurant and bars are open from Tuesday to Saturday between 17:00 and 01:00, and it opens for the first time on Wednesday January 24.
