BEER: NÖJESGUIDEN’S ÖLMÄSSAN
Interest in beercraft has steadily grown in Stockholm over the past while, to the point that within five years every beer within the city borders will be microbrewed and come with a bearded man to lecture you for five hours about every step of its history. Nöjesguiden’s Ölmässa is the holy grail of beer festivals in the city, a celebration of everything craft-related. Microbreweries from all over Sweden will be exhibiting at the festival. Visitors will be able to sample beers from all of them, as well as excellent food, through purchasing a ticket which will give them a slot to tour the exhibition hall and get to try some of the best beer in Sweden. Nöjesguiden’s Pelle Tamleht says: “I’m looking forward so much to 2018’s ölmässan. We will have twenty or so excited exhibitors, and moreover we have a huge set of surprises planned for this year. In other words, it’s going to be better than ever, and it’s worth keeping in mind that last year’s was great too. For many of our visitors, it’s their first beer fair, and that’s how we want to have it. We like the idea of being an entry point for them to this kind of event, and hopefully they’ll go to many more beer fairs in future”.
EXHIBITION/ CONCEPT: FOLKMUSIC 2.0
In the exhibition Folkmusik 2.0 – svensk hiphop remixad the Swedish hiphop scene is portrayed by a broad range of current artists. The exhibition is an audio-visual experience showcasing the hiphop genre as one of the current era’s most important cultural forces. A culture that constantly develops and takes new forms. The style, the language and the identity is showcased through the most influential songs – all the way from Neneh Cherry’s Buffalo Stance right up to Erik Lundin’s recent Suedi. The exhibition is wrapping up this weekend, so entry is free and you can take one last chance to see it. And to celebrate, there’ll be live performances from Jireel, Sammy & Johnny Bennett and JËLLY.

Visitor’s can play the classic original versions of the games on the old Game Boy, take part in a Poke-Tournament and much more.

EXERCISE: WINTERRUN STOCKHOLM
Let’s be honest here. Running is something that’s very good for you, but is essentially a fairly miserable activity when you’re doing it, despite all the talk of the mythical ‘runner’s high’. And it doesn’t get any more fun in the freezing temperatures and icy paths of the winter. But something that can help it be a more pleasant experience, and that’s what Winterrun Stockholm offers. You can get your exercise while enjoying the sites and views at Skansen, over 5k or 10k.
