Set in New York in the conservative Reaganite 80s, Angels In America is a two-part drama that follows the lives of several characters through the fear of the AIDS epidemic and the political machinations of the time. Comprised of interconnecting storylines and ghostly elements, the play has won multiple awards and has been updated by its writer Tony Kushner, and it’s this latest version that’s coming to Dramaten. Directed by Farnaz Arbabi, part one (Millennium) is playing throughout February with part two (Perestrojka) opening on February 22. There will also be later combined performances of both.
