Everyone loves the films of Hayao Miyazaki and his animation studio Studio Ghibli, and Bio Rio at Hornstull definitely do. They’re having Anime Sundays for the next three weeks, brightening up weekend afternoons with screenings of the Japanese director’s classics. It starts off this Sunday with Princess Mononoke, the 1997 film which follows a young warrior as he tries to avert a chaotic, suicidal war between a human city and a forest spirit, all while struggling with a poisonous curse, during which he encounters a princess who was raised by wolves. That film is screened this Sunday at 13:45, in Japanese with Swedish subtitles.
The following Sundays will see screenings of Kiki’s Delivery Service and Princess Kaguya.
Apr 29: Princess Mononoke
May 6: Kiki’s Delivery Service
May 13: Princess Kaguya
