Electro-pop duo Niki & The Dove are embarking on their most ambitious project yet. For Tigern och Svanen, the duo are collaborating with Kungliga Operan’s ballet group for a performance piece that blends their back catalogue with ballet and dance. The idea is this: there’s a loose plot, the drama between the symbol characters the tiger and the swan, which acts as narrative that holds together a journey through the band’s songs (both famous, less well-known, and completely new) and through three distinct parts, Öknen, Skogen and Staden (the desert, the forest and the city). For fans of the band, or just abstract theatre in general, it’s sure to be a must-see show.
