The Norwegian artist Vegard Blomberg wears many hats – as well as his artwork, he has a past in black metal (he’s played with the bands View and Satyricon), and has also worked as a writer and filmmaker. But it’s the artwork that takes centre stage now, as he’s exhibiting in Sweden for the first time at Juste Gallery in Hornstull. Blomberg’s work is bright and vivid, and conveys a sense of questioning traditional understandings and ideas.
Blomberg is at the gallery this weekend, with the exhibition opening at 17:00 on Friday. To celebrate that opening, there’ll be discounts on offer on some of Blomberg’s pieces.
