To be honest, I could happily live the rest of my life without ever hearing another variation of ‘make [subject] great again’. But it seems like the phrase isn’t losing currency anytime soon. The festival Let’s Make Love Great Again is the latest to take it up. The essential aim of the festival is to promote togetherness and the principle that ‘people are good’. The organisers say the festival works to “promote love, friendship and togetherness, while working against problems like online harassment, bullying, hostility and division”.

They plan to do this in two ways, firstly through talks about online behaviour and mental health, and secondly through music. Julia Frej, Thomas Di Leva, Vånna Inget, Jaqee, Medborgarbandet, Stina Velocette, The Sounds, Junior Brielle and Darin are booked in for Saturday, with Esther Vallee, Maia Hirasawa, Mikael Wiehe, Kaliffa, Maxida Märak, Loreen, Familjen and Johnossi for Sunday. Entry is free, and the festival starts from 12:00.
