In many ways, Grant and Alice Boman occupy very different ends of the pop galaxy. Grant, aka Caroline Cederlöf, released her debut album In Bloom this summer, and it casts its pop music as high-drama art, a cocktail of swooping melodies, swerves between noir mystique and intense rush and Cederlöf’s powerful, theatrical vocals. Alice Boman on the other hand, operates in softer and slower tones, hovering on the border between folk and dream-pop, with her recent singles Dreams and End Of Time some of her strongest ever. Both are captivating and charismatic in very different ways, and both have music with the magic to knock a room silent, or make it howl. They share a bill at Trädgården Live Sessions on Wednesday, with doors opening at 17:00.
