Vacation Forever Weekend Made By

GIG: VACATION FOREVER/ JELLY CRYSTAL
After the release of his debut EP last spring, Zacharias Zachrisson, aka Vacation Forever, spent the autumn in the studio working on the follow-up. We got the first taste of what that might sound like with his new single Baby Punk last week, a rapid, energetic piece of manic indie rock that takes his sound a little into DIIV territory. You can maybe hear some more of his future releases at his live show on Saturday, with support from neon-crooner Jelly Crystal.

Mar 16, 19:00-03:00, Debaser Strand

CLUB: UNDER BRON EXPERIENCE 3.0
Under Bron are going big again on Saturday, with twelve hours of clubbing available for those able to handle it. The club opens at 17:00 and closes at 05:00, with a DJ list a mile long featuring John Talabot, Jessie Granqvist and Leo Forssell among others. Their restaurant Växthuset is also open late, with sets from Reika Farman and Jonas Rönnqvist.

FILM: THEY SHALL NOT GROW OLD
There’s been plenty of art created about WW1 over the past few years as we’ve passed through various centenaries, and here’s another entry. Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson has put together They Shall Not Grow Old, which turns the focus away from the grand narrative of the war, and instead turns the spotlight on the young men lost in it. It plays at Bio Rio again on Saturday.

Mar 16, 17:15-18:45, Bio Rio

FOOD: MOVEAT
Does Södermalm actually live to to the hype it’s trying to build around itself as a rising foodies paradise? Will you be able to make it through this tour without someone referencing Brooklyn? You’ll have the chance to see on the MovEat Stockholm tour of the neighbourhood on Saturday. There’s ten taste stops on the route, featuring beer, chocolate, soup and more.
Mar 16, Södermalm

ART: DAVID SHRIGLEY
David Shrigley’s inflatable figures have been entertaining guests at Spritmuseum for months now, and on Friday you’ll have the chance to experience it with the artist himself. The museum is having an afterwork with Shrigley, with tickets at 250kr and including a signed poster, tour by Shrigley and more.
