Weekend

PIZZA: AW FRIDAY WITH MARKUS & MARTIN
Blique By Nobis is one of Stockholm’s newest hotels, and they’ve also added a bunch of dining and drinking options to the city. This week they’re hosting an AW, with pizza and Apertivo Sprizt on the menu and DJs Markus Hård & Martin Hendrikse taking care of the music between 16:00 and 20:00. It’s fine spot for a relaxed Friday afternoon.
May 10, 16:00-20:00, Gävlegatan 18

GIG: SARAH KLANG
Sarah Klang’s star continues to rise. The lonesome crooner has been on an endless upwards curve for several years now, and her excellent album Love In The Milky Way has given her enough material for spectacular live shows for years to come. And now she plays one her biggest Stockholm shows yet, at Gröna Lund.

May 10, 20:00-22:00, Gröna Lund

CLUB: DATE
Lesbian club night Date is back this weekend after a long pause, in a new home at Morfar Ginko. They’re joined by karaoke experts Kaffe, Kaka & Karaoke, for a night where you can both sing and dance your heart out.
May 11, 21:00-01:00, Morfar Ginko

GIG: VERA WEJNER
Vera Wejner has had a more interesting path to her current place than most musicians, having previously been a footballer and dancer. She specialises in a kind of dark, glamorous romanticism, and you can catch it live at Melodybox this weekend.

May 10, 20:00-02:00, Melodybox

TECH: VR SCI FEST
Virtual Reality is coming to Fotografiska this weekend in the form of an active VR installation in the live studio under the guidance of the installation’s creator Iolanda Di Bonaventura. The installation is open for two days, with a Q’n’A on Saturday at 17:00.
May 10-11, Fotografiska
