Tak’s new bar IMA means they’re going even deeper into Japanese culture, and the name, directly-translated, means ‘living room’. Sake is an obvious presence, says bar master Jens Dahlberg, who’s also a part-owner of the prize-winning bar 20Hundra5.
“This is a place people will come for an experience, rather than a quick beer. The drinks will be inspired by Japanese flavours and traditional drinks like Sake, Umeshu and different Shoshu-distilled bases. You’ll be able to enjoy an exciting experience in one of Sweden’s, if not Scandinavia’s, most-stunning rooftop bars”, says Dahlberg.
Ahead of the opening, Tak has already started a new collaboration with the Japanese distributor Akebono, who work with different spirits and sakes. “The interest in Asia and different Asian flavours has increased a lot in Sweden, and has done so over a long period time, and we want to follow that”, says Dahlberg.
