GIG: SABINE WOMEN/ MAKEOUT POINT/ BIANCA
With 12-string guitars and hole-in-the-heart lyrics, Sabine Women are putting themselves forward as candidates to be Stockholm’s newest indie dream kids. They release their debut single Buenos Aires on Saturday, and celebrate with a show at Pop House. The performance will be guested by the poets Jonathan Brott and Elis Burrau, and support comes from shoegazers Makeout Point and Bianca.

CLUB: TAKT
Time to celebrate the arrival of spring by going high above the city for Tak’s latest round of their club night Takt. Dance house producer Art Alfie and Jenny Seth (famous from her music podcast Jenny & Vänner) DJ, and Copenhagen weird-pop star Yangze plays live.

KULTURNATT: TESSINKSKA PALATSET
The home of the architect Nicodemus Tessin (1654-1728), the Tessin Palace isn’t usually open to the public. On Kulturnatt however, they’re offering the opportunity to step into the historic building. Guided tours in English will be offered, with visitors able to get on one by grabbing a ticket, which will be handed out on Slottsbacken from 17:30. It’s a unique chance to see somewhere very few see.

KULTURNATT: HÖTORGSTERRASSEN
Nattmarknad at Hötorgsterrassen opens for the season on Kulturnatten, and they’ve got a lot packed in. There’ll be art from Format Barksten and Wall of Art, music from Cosmetisk Heesvijk and more, a Kultur Bar with Ladieslovehiphop on DJ duties and a whole host of food trucks, serving everything from falafel to BBQ. And of course a market, will art, design, jewellery and more for sale.

KULTURNATT: ÖSTASIATISKA MUSEET
Kulturnatt also extends to international culture, and that’s what Östasiatiska museet offer with their Kulturnatt Matsuri event, a celebration of Japanese culture. They’ll have sake tastings (and a sake bar from Flying brewery), Nintendo tournaments, a kimono sale and the newly opened exhibition Paper Stories will be open until midnight.
