ART DESK: Martin Schoeller "Up Close" @ FOTOGRAFISKA

Martin Schoeller hast taken some of the most iconic photos of this generation. From Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Barack Obama, Katy Perry, Hillary Clinton, a blood splattered Christian Bale, a lone dining Jay-Z, to a makeup wearing Martin Sheen, Schoeller has a reputation for being able to get Up Close with his subjects and show them in a dynamic personal way. No coincidence that his show at Fotografiska is entitled Up Close. The show is the first time ever that this series will be exhibited at the venue. Martin says enthusiastically, “The exhibition of the FOTOGRAFISKA is my most comprehensive exhibition ever. It feels really cool to see all the works gathered like this.”
