The Museum of Architecture and Design has just opened up a large exhibition about one of our most beloved design objects: The bicycle. The exhibit reflects everything from trends to technology and covers all avenues of our relationship with the bicycle, be it passion, fashion, transportation, or a way of life. Visitors can follow a historical timeline of the bicycle’s design and evolution, and it is even possible to try out bikes from various time periods. In short, the cycle will be studied and debated in order to generate new insights and creative ideas for everyday cyclists, bicycle activists, and urban planners.
During the summer, visitors will also have the opportunity to repair their bikes or build new ones from discarded parts, participate in bike races, view films on the subject, and attend seminars held by international designers, researchers and urban planners.
The Bicycles exhibition will be on display until October.
