Manhattan make-believe

In January of this year, the Playhouse Theatre took over Reginateaterns former premises and after a nine-month-long revamp, the time has come to put up the curtain for a new theatre concept. It is the ambition of the Playhouse to stage newly-written and award-winning pieces that derive directly from theatres in the New York area.

At the restaurant Playhouse Kök, the theatre’s most well-liked playwrights have played a part in forming the menu by selecting their favourite New York dishes and beverages. You’ll find Annie Baker’s Matzo Ball Soup, Donald Margulie’s New England Clam Chowder and Bruce Norris’ Fresh fruit with meringue among the dishes on the eclectic menu.
