GIG: PRINCESS PRADA
Princess Prada is the latest signing to label Cherish, a reggaeton/ latin music artist and visual artist. Her debut EP, produced by HABIB1, is out this Friday, and she’s celebrating with a release party at Taverna Brillo. Prada performs live, and HABIB1 and Destination Unknown DJ.

GIG: VACATION FOREVER
“I don’t have the patience to stick with one thing. I do songs pretty quickly, and then I move on. When I get inspired by something, I do the song the same day as I got that inspiration, then I finish it and then I move on. It’s like impulsive pop, I call it impulsive pop. Also, because it’s so early in my career, I haven’t set a genre, so I can do whatever I want. My genre’s like tropical emo, so I can do what the fuck I want, because I made it up. Whatever I do, it’s tropical emo”, so said our former cover star Vacation Forever when we spoke to him in June. He’s back in live action this weekend, playing Stockholm Under Stjärnorna on Friday.

MARKET: DESIGNMARKNAD
Designmarknad Sthlm’s regular markets at Färgfabriken are a highlight on the calendar for Stockholm’s design-obsessed movers and shakers, and now another edition is returning for the Christmas season. The format for this one sticks to the classic plan – around 100 designers in fields ranging from clothing to ceramics via interiors will be on-site to display and sell their wares, so if you want to make a more personal purchase it’s the place to be, as you can talk to and buy direct from the designers themselves. Färgfabriken’s Café will also be open, serving food, coffee and other treats, and keep an eye open for some special Christmas surprises. Tickets are 40kr, with entry in the door 50kr and access for children free.

MARKET: FILMSTADEN
This market is the one for the cinema fan, taking place in the home of Swedish film. There’s the classic Christmas Market stuff everywhere, as well as the chance to follow in the footsteps of Garbo, Bergman and more with a guided tour.

EXHIBITION: MODERNA MUSEET
Once every four years, Moderna Museet set themselves a challenge on a grand scale. Their exhibition Modernautställningen brings together work from a wide range of artists, all connected to the Swedish art scene, with the aim of proving an insight into that scene and into Swedish society in general. The exhibition, which ran for the first time in 2006, returned this autumn, curated by Joa Ljungberg and Santiago Mostyn. We met Ljungberg to discuss it. You can read that here.
