Photo agency Getty Images are building on their global success with the launch of a Stockholm photo gallery, modelled on their London equivalent established in the 90s.
”Images are the language of our time and the demand for high quality photos has never been higher,” says Carolin Jaques of Getty Images Stockholm.
Stockholm has been drenched in photo art ever since the opening of Fotografiska, but it seems we cannot get enough. Now we’re getting access to one of the greatest photographic collections in the world, millions of shots spanning from the 1850s to today.
The new gallery will host four exhibitions per year, with both classic archive material and contemporary work. The idea is to be accessible to everyone rather than just corporate clients. The opening exhibition 2016 In Focus is on display this spring.
