Stockholm Film Festival is soon about to kick off, starting on Wednesday next week (Nov 7). And the Radisson Collection Strand Hotel is the official hotel for the festival, which means they’re having a little celebration. The hotel will host a photo-exhibition featuring portraits of Ingrid Bergman and Greta Garbo (both guests of the hotel in their time) for the duration of the festival. The photos, from the 1920s and 1930s, are regarded as an important documentation of the backrooms and behind-the-scenes lives of the Swedish film icons.

“For us at Stockholm International Film Festival, it feels like coming home to be at this inspiring film hotel, where among others, both Ingrid Bergman and Greta Garbo have had their home for long periods. We’re really looking forward to our collaboration and filling the hotel with the film personalities of the future”, says Git Scheynius, festival director of Stockholm Film Festival.

The exhibition is free to the public, and will be housed in the hotel’s lobby and reception between Nov 7 and 18.
